My Priorities

Zero New Taxes & Rate Increases

• No new taxes
• No water/sewer rate increases for at least two years
• Live within our $45M+ budget
• Increase efficiency instead of increasing taxes

Fix & Maintain Aging Infrastructure

• Permanently solve the sewer smell issue
• Develop an effective maintenance plan
• Improve storm drainage and city streets
• Install streetlights on Highway 42 to Kaiser

"Stop the Smell" Strategic Plan

• Seal 20-30 larger lift stations - Doors and vent pipe filters
• Re-deploy Vapex Units not in use now
• Install carbon filters on all air release pipes/valves across the system.
• Use Water Usage inf. to find dormant winter grinder stations and drain before spring
• Consider natural and chemical treatments in distant problem areas
• If needed enlist help from qualified Engineering University
• Last Resort – Investigate additional treatment plant toward Linn Creek

Control Exploding Labor Costs

• Labor up 54% in 4 years while revenue up 5%
• Ensure all new positions are necessary and effective
• Control growth of outside professional services

Smart Economic Development

• Support success of the Outlet Mall and Oasis projects
• Use TIF responsibly and prudently
• Protect schools and other stakeholders

Airports & Parks

• Take ownership of Lee C. Fine Airport responsibly
• Add hangars at net-zero cost to the city
• Bring back Christmas in the Park
• Expand parks, including a new dog and children’s park behind City Hall

Expand Workforce Housing

• Provide water and sewer access to undeveloped land
• Create opportunity for 100+ new homes
• Review and improve existing housing incentives
